What is refrigerated (reefer) transport?
Refrigerated transport — also called reefer or temperature-controlled transport — is the carriage of perishable goods in insulated units with their own refrigeration system, which keeps the load at a set temperature for the whole journey. It is used for fresh produce, meat, fish, dairy, frozen food and any product that must not warm up or freeze in transit.
For international journeys between countries that have signed it, the ATP agreement (the UNECE Agreement on the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs) sets the requirements for the insulation and refrigeration of the vehicles and the temperatures for each type of food.
Chilled and frozen transport with a guaranteed cold chain
We move fresh, chilled and frozen goods, keeping the temperature throughout the journey, from −25 °C to +25 °C. The unit is pre-cooled before loading, monitored on the road and the temperature record is available at delivery, so your product arrives in perfect condition and you can prove it.
• Temperature range from −25 °C to +25 °C.
• ATP-approved refrigeration equipment.
• Units pre-cooled to the set temperature before loading.
• Continuous temperature logging and GPS tracking.
• A direct contact in our traffic team throughout the journey.
Temperature ranges we work with
Every product has its temperature. These are the typical ranges; we set and log the exact temperature your goods require:
• Deep-frozen (−25 °C to −18 °C): ice cream, frozen fish and seafood, frozen ready meals.
• Frozen (−18 °C to 0 °C): frozen meat, poultry, bakery and vegetables.
• Chilled (0 °C to +8 °C): meat, dairy, fresh fish and chilled ready meals.
• Fresh and controlled (+8 °C to +25 °C): fruit and vegetables, flowers and goods that must not overheat.
Fruit and vegetable transport from Spain to Europe
The Valencian Community, Murcia and Andalusia supply a large share of the fresh fruit and vegetables eaten in northern Europe. We specialise in perishable goods — fruit and vegetables, fresh food, frozen products and temperature-controlled goods — for distribution, retail and industry, and we are ready for seasonal campaigns and large export volumes.
Multi-temperature loads in the same trip
When we run two refrigerated units together, each has its own refrigeration unit. That means chilled and frozen goods can travel in the same trip at different temperatures, which is ideal for supplying retail and for customers who ship several product ranges at once.
Need more volume? Duo trailer reefer
For large, regular volumes we can run a duo trailer: one tractor unit pulling two refrigerated units. It carries up to 72 tonnes and around 66 euro pallets — the equivalent of two conventional reefers — with one driver, a lower cost per pallet and up to 30% less CO₂. Duo trailers run on the network of routes approved by Spain's traffic authority (DGT); we tell you whether your route qualifies.
Refrigerated transport across Spain and Europe
Our base is on an industrial estate in Vila-real (Castellón), a few minutes from the Port of Castellón and half an hour from the Port of Valencia, right on the AP-7 and A-7 Mediterranean corridor. From there we run refrigerated transport to the rest of Spain and international routes across Europe, planning each one around delivery windows and temperature requirements.
Areas we work in most often: Castellón de la Plana, Vila-real, Almazora, Onda, Alcora, Nules, Burriana, La Vall d'Uixó, Sagunto, Valencia and the industrial estates along the Mediterranean corridor.

Refrigerated transport: frequently asked questions
What is refrigerated (reefer) transport?

What temperatures can you transport at?
From −25 °C to +25 °C: deep-frozen, frozen, chilled and fresh produce. We set and log the exact temperature your product requires.
What is ATP and why does it matter?
ATP is the UNECE agreement on the international carriage of perishable foodstuffs. It sets the requirements for the insulation and refrigeration of the vehicles and the temperatures for each food. Our refrigeration equipment is ATP-approved.
Can chilled and frozen goods travel in the same trip?
Yes, when we run two refrigerated units together: each has its own refrigeration unit, so chilled and frozen goods travel at different temperatures in the same trip.
Do you transport fruit and vegetables to the rest of Europe?
Yes. We transport fresh fruit and vegetables and other perishable goods from Spain to the rest of Europe, including seasonal campaigns and large export volumes.
How do I know my goods stayed at the right temperature?
The temperature is logged continuously throughout the journey and the record is available to you, together with the GPS tracking of the unit.
What is a duo trailer reefer?
It is one tractor unit pulling two refrigerated units: up to 72 tonnes and around 66 euro pallets in one trip, with one driver. It suits large, regular volumes on Spain's approved routes.
How much does refrigerated transport cost?
It depends on the volume, the temperature, the origin and the destination. We prepare a fixed, no-obligation quote from the details of your shipment.
Do you work with regular customers and seasonal campaigns?
Yes. We set up framework agreements with reserved capacity and scaling for seasonal campaigns.
