Certified cargo lashing and load securing

We lash and secure your goods with restraint systems in line with EN 12195-1, the European standard for load restraint on road vehicles. The goods travel firm and protected, avoiding damage and complying with traffic regulations.

What does EN 12195-1 require?

EN 12195-1 sets out how to calculate the securing forces needed so a load does not move during transport, including emergency manoeuvres. The load must withstand forces of 0.8 g forward (braking) and 0.5 g to the sides and rear. The European Best Practice Guidelines on Cargo Securing for Road Transport are based on it.

In practice that means choosing the right method for each load — blocking, direct lashing, top-over lashing or a combination — with straps, chains, chocks, anti-slip mats and edge protectors, and checking it before departure.

Load securing methods we use

There is no single lashing method for every load. We choose the method, or combination of methods, according to the goods, the packaging and the vehicle:

Blocking

The load is placed against the headboard, the sides or other goods, or held with chocks, bars and fillers, so it has no room to move.

Top-over (friction) lashing

Straps over the top of the load press it down onto the deck, increasing friction. Combined with anti-slip mats, it is the most common method for palletised goods.

Direct lashing

Straps or chains connect the load directly to the lashing points of the vehicle. Used for machinery, steel and heavy or tall items.

Protection and checks

Edge protectors stop straps cutting into the goods or losing tension, and every load is checked before departure and, on long trips, during the journey.

Why correct load securing matters

• Safety: an unsecured load is a danger to the driver and to other road users.

• Fewer damages and claims: goods that don't move arrive intact.

• Compliance: roadside inspections check load securing and can stop the vehicle and fine the parties responsible.

• Lower costs: fewer incidents, fewer returns and fewer delays.

Groupage and freight consolidation: pay only for your space

If you don't fill a full truck, groupage is the answer: we combine your goods with other shipments in a single load unit and you share the cost of the transport. We consolidate the load at origin, so you pay only for the space you actually use.

Consolidation also works the other way round: if you buy from several suppliers, we can collect from each of them and group everything into one load, so it arrives together and you pay for one trip instead of several.

What is deconsolidation?

Deconsolidation is the reverse process: when a consolidated load arrives, we break it down and separate it by destination for fast, orderly distribution. We handle the final stage of the shipment so your goods reach each delivery point without delays.

One flow: consolidation, lashing and distribution

1. Consolidation

We group several consignments or orders into a single load unit to optimise cost, space and trips.

2. Lashing

Before the truck leaves, we secure the goods with certified systems so they travel stable and protected.

3. Deconsolidation and delivery

At destination, we split the load by delivery point for fast, orderly distribution.

What we lash and consolidate

• Ceramic tiles and building materials.

• Distribution and FMCG products.

• Agri-food goods in dry storage.

What we need to quote your lashing or groupage

• What the goods are, how many pallets or packages, and their size and weight.

• Delivery point or points.

• Whether the goods can be stacked or need special handling.

Cargo lashing, load securing and groupage: frequently asked questions

What is cargo lashing (load securing) and why does it matter?

Load securing (or cargo lashing) is restraining the load with straps, chains, chocks and other devices so it doesn't move during transport. It protects the goods, the driver and other road users, and is checked in roadside inspections.

What is EN 12195-1?

It is the European standard that sets out how to calculate the securing forces for loads on road vehicles. The load must withstand 0.8 g forward and 0.5 g to the sides and rear.

Does your lashing comply with EN 12195-1?

Yes. We apply restraint systems in line with EN 12195-1, adapting the equipment to each type of goods.

What is groupage?

Groupage is a transport service in which several shipments from different customers share the same truck. Each customer pays only for the space their goods take up, which makes it cheaper than a full load for smaller quantities.

What is the difference between groupage and a full load?

With a full load (FTL) the whole truck carries your goods only. With groupage your goods share the truck with other shipments and you pay only for the space you use, which is cheaper for smaller quantities.

What is freight consolidation?

Freight consolidation is grouping several shipments or orders, even from different origins, into a single transport unit to optimise cost, space and trips.

Can you collect from several suppliers and deliver everything together?

Yes. That is freight consolidation: we collect from each supplier, group the goods into a single load and deliver everything together, so you pay for one trip instead of several.

What is deconsolidation?

It is the reverse process: a consolidated load is split into its individual destinations and distributed quickly and in order.

Which areas do you cover?

We operate from Castellón, Spain, throughout the Valencian Community and coordinate distribution nationwide, to anywhere in mainland Spain.
